Defining Anxiety
Anxiety is the body's natural "fight or flight" response to a perceived threat, causing feelings of fear and worry. While normal in small doses, it becomes a problem when it's excessive and persistent, interfering with daily life.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) involves ongoing and excessive worry about everyday situations. This worry can feel difficult to control and may affect both the mind and body.
